As we hit the mid-point of August, we bid farewell to a special
group of players. The 2021 18u Selects,
are part of a group that has faced more obstacles than any previous group in
our organization.
Whether it was the loss of an entire season last year, multiple lockdowns preventing them from training together, the closed border which kept them from playing in the US, or the typical stresses, pressures and challenges of their teen years – this group of great young men seemed to face roadblocks at every turn.
In the end, they will be remembered for their perseverance, work ethic, and for being a great group of men. Fortunately, the baseball road does not end for most of them. We say good bye to the players and list their post-secondary destination.
