Why the Selects?
With tryouts for the 2025 Windsor Selects soon to be announced, we thought it appropriate to let families know what is involved when you join the Selects family.
The Selects are part of the Canadian Premier Baseball League, the top amateur league in the country.
The Selects are extremely proud of our history, which includes a long list of players we have helped on their path to college or pro baseball (https://windsorselects.com/Pages/1032/Selects_Playing_College_Baseball/)
Most teams within the league will play a regular season consisting of approximately 32 games (this will vary according to age/division). In addition to the regular season, each Selects team participates in a playoff tournament at the end of the season to determine the league champion. Selects teams will also compete in 3-4 additional tournaments, located in the USA.
After the current baseball season, the 2025 teams will begin their fall-ball campaigns right ofter Labour Day. This will typically include practices and some games throughout the fall. Once the fall season concludes, offseason training begins.
It is also worth mentioning that in 2024, the Selects signed a 3-year agreement with Under Armour Canada, as the official clothing and uniform supplier to the Selects. Each player will receive a US player package as part of their player fees with the Selects.
If parents have additional questions, they will have the opportunity to ask them during the tryouts, of they can contact General manager John Picco.
