Windsor Selects Announce Landmark Multi-Year Partnership with Central Park Athletics
WINDSOR, ON – The Windsor Selects Baseball Club is proud to announce a transformative multi-year agreement with Central Park Athletics (CPA), establishing a new premier home for the program’s training operations. Starting in March 2026, all Selects teams and community programs will transition to the state-of-the-art facility to begin a new era of player development.
The new designated training wing at CPA offers an expansive 10,350 square feet of fully turfed space. Designed with professional-grade specifications, the area features:
-
35-foot ceilings and four 75' x 24' retractable cages for full-scale defensive and offensive work.
- Advanced technology including HitTrax data analytics and Hack Attack pitching machines.
- A dedicated high-performance fitness room tailored specifically for athletic strength and conditioning.
"Securing this partnership with Central Park Athletics is a game-changer for our organization," said John Picco, General Manager and Partner of the Windsor Selects. "Our goal has always been to provide our athletes with the best resources available. By moving into a facility of this caliber, we are ensuring that the Windsor Selects remain the gold standard for amateur baseball development in the region for years to come."
The move also allows the organization to double down on its community roots. Following the successful launch of the Junior Selects youth program this past fall, the increased space and consistent time slots at CPA will enable the Selects to grow their youth developmental pipeline.
"From a player development standpoint, this new facility opens doors we simply didn’t have before," added Chad Matton, Director of Player Development. "The combination of the high-performance fitness center and the advanced tech and equipment, allows us to take a data-driven approach to every player's growth. Whether it’s a college-bound senior or a 13-year-old in their first year with our program, they are now training in one of the best environments in Ontario."
The Selects will begin operating out of Central Park Athletics in March, just in time for pre-season preparations. Families and fans are encouraged to follow the Selects on social media for updates regarding schedules and upcoming open house events.
